PPSSPP Qt binaries now available for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

In addition to the SDL binaries for Ubuntu 14.04 I now have the Qt binaries ready to download. You can find them on my dropbox archive.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zjimhxa9dm5o9kb/vzA48_gT9v

The Qt binaries is compiled under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, I cannot promise they will run under any other Linux flavor or Ubuntu release. You should be able to download, decompress and run the binary with only the Qt5 libraries needed to be installed. No installation of PPSSPP needed.

Ubuntu 14.04 - The Old College Try!

So I installed Ubuntu 14.04 last night. It isn't too bad after disabling a shit load of Unity Scopes. 14.04 seems to be a lil' bit faster than 13.10, window movement most notably. It also seems pretty stable thus far, nothing's crashed yet. All the Steam games I play are working well. World of Warcraft via Crossover WINE 13.0.2 is also running well.

For a few days (or untill I get tired of Ubuntu) the PPSSPP compiles with be done under Ubuntu 14.04.

PPSSPP Fedora 20 daily builds back online

My daily builds of the Sony PSP emulator PPSSPP are back online and located on my dropbox @

Just look for the most recent date and download. All binaries are built on Fedora 20 x64. SDL builds only as the QT binaries will not build *shrugs*.

Have fun!

Dolphin Emu git clone Build Archive for Fedora 20 RPM

In addition to my most honorable PPSSPP daily build archive I am also doing weekly builds of the fabulous Dolphin Emulator from their GitHub repository. Dolphin Emu is a Nintendo Gamecube & Wii emulator which works very well if you have the hardware for it.

The builds are available as RPMs for Fedora 20 64bit. I'll try to get the RPMs updated every Sunday.

OpenJK - Jedi Academy Binaries - Fedora 20

Yesterday I compiled a nice set of binaries for the OpenJK project. If you haven't heard OpenJK is a source port of a modified Quake3 engine used to run Star Wars - Jedi Academy. The binaries were compiled on Fedora 20 64bit but is a 32bit application. You'll need a whole slew of i686 dependencies to run it on a 64bit system. Unfortunately I don't remember what all libraries I installed to compile it. Your best bet is to run it in the terminal for the first time to track down what libraries you are missing (if any).

To run the game you'll need the .pk3 files from the commercial game itself. You can still purchase Jedi Academy on Steam. There should be 4 of them (assets0.pk3 - assets3.pk3). Place them in the 'base' directory and you should be ready to run the openjk_sp.i386 application. If you are using the original CD-ROM release of SW: JA you'll need to update it to v1.21.

Reicast - Dreamcast for your Android!

Reicast is an alpha release emulator for the Sega Dreamcast. It was released today to the Google Play Store. I can't believe how bad ass it is for being an early alpha. You can check it out on the Play Store by clicking here. The projects main website can be accessed by clicking here. I gotta say, i freaking love the dreamcast and a portable emulator is really awesome.

Below are quite a few screen shots for your consumption.
